He is a theatrical arts student. Shiori’s parents own a popular modern theater in Japan. Shiori was talented from a young age and often watched his parents stage performances with his grandfather. He began performing at 11 years old where he played the roll as a geisha singer in a play. Not only was he talented for his age. He had an angelic singing voice. By 13 he was scouted by an agency for a short role in a tv commercial. He showed such talent that was called back to do several more. But even though he enjoyed that brief time on television, his dream was to act on a Broadway stage.
One night while playing the role of the geisha, while back stage after one of his performances was greeted by an adoring fan with a bouquet of flowers. The young man was so moved by Shiori’s performance that he couldn’t help but shower him compliments. His name was Jun, and Shiori couldn’t help but notice how handsome and well dressed he was. The young man left and promised to come see the performance again. Shiori thought nothing of this, and giggled to himself thinking, “I wonder if he knows that I’m a guy?” But sure enough the young man returned. This happened 3 nights in a row before the young confessed that he was attracted to him. “Oh my!”, he thought to himself, as he pondered how this man would react if he knew the truth. He was worried that it might turn ugly, but at the same time was very moved by his confession. Shiori suggested that they meet somewhere more private, away from prying eyes. He knew the risk involved but couldn’t help himself. And indeed they met privately, in a park far the bustle of the city where they began their courtship. Being young and inexperienced, Shiori couldn’t stop the tingling feelings welling up inside. He knew he shouldn’t deceive him but enjoyed the attention too much. He enjoyed the danger and risk it presented. But one night it had all changed. Jun surprised him with his first kiss. A passionate kiss that he tried to deny, but couldn’t hold back on. It turned him on so much that he started to get erect. He pulled away quickly and was more fearful than he’d ever been. Jun asked why he pulled away, and through much hesitation, decided that he must finally reveal the truth. He warily told him that he was a boy, and apologized profusely for deceiving him, begging him to forgive his selfish actions. Jun was shocked to discover that Shiori was a boy, and at first seemed to be in a state of panic. But eventually turned to Shiori and told him that he was actually the son of a diplomat, betrothed to another of wealthy standing. He too apologized for his selfish behavior, and suggested that they part ways to avoid any further problems. This broke Shiori’s heart but he understood. As he began to leave, he turned one final time and confessed that he wished that wasn’t the son of a diplomat, and that if he had his choice, he would be with Shiori. Overwhelmed with sadness and joy, Shiori ran to him, and shared a deep passionate kiss. Jun suggested that they make the most of what would be their final meeting and lead Shiori away to a love motel, where they embraced heated, unbridled passion into the wee hours of the night. Early in the morning before dawn the parted ways, and he said his final goodbye to him.
Unfortunately it did not end for either of them that night. Unknown to both of them, a reporter who knew that Jun was a diplomats son, was following him from his nights at the theater. He was planning on publishing the pictures in a local newspaper, but was discovered by an insider to have possession of the damning photos that would not only bring his family shame but that of his fiancé as well. Shiori’s parents were met at their own theater by the same diplomat and his men and told them of the affair. They were to never let Shiori near his son again or there would be consequences. Shiori was devastated that they found out, but even more devastated that he was removed from the theater troupe. The one thing that he loved so much was taken away from him because of one single act. He became severely depressed and lonely.
However, after months, Shiori’s parents decided to enroll him in a school overseas until everything had settled down. He was sent to Saint Cypress, where a new life awaited him. During his interview he expressed his love for theater and that he needed to be on stage again. He delightfully assured, that if he shined in the theater classes in school, that he would most definitely have his chance to perform on broadway. This moved him to tears. Finally, he was one step closer to his original goal. And though he mourned his first loss at love, he hoped that one day, somewhere, Jun would see his performance and remember how moved he was when he watched him on stage for the very first time.
Since then Shiori has made friends whom he can relate to and laugh with. One of his friends bestowed him with the nickname Angel, to match his angelic singing voice. He loves the spotlight and entertaining crowds of people with his performances. Ever the shy and reserved person, the stage is where he can be whoever he wants to be. Even though Jun would always have a special place in his heart, he admits to wanting to try something new. With such a widely diverse menu at the school, he can’t help but wonder, what his next secret encounter will be.
